Our Partners

  1. PUBLIC/PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP
    The Public/Private Partnership is an advisory body. It provides input and guidance on issues facing MyCom, and is staffed by the Intermediary. These issues include strategic direction, policy issues, and specific strategies being employed by the Initiative. The Partnership members serve as spokespersons for MyCom and supports efforts to identifying new resources partners. The Partnership forms Working Groups to support the work of the larger group, as needed.   The Public/Private Partnership is composed of representatives of organizations that provide financial or in-kind resources to MyCom. These organizations include philanthropic organizations, government departments and elected officials, civic organizations and those from the business community. They are staffed by the MyCom Intermediary.  

     

  2. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
    The Executive Committee is decision-making body, responsible for setting strategic direction, approving major policy decisions, and approving MyCom budgets and financial reports. Executive Committee members serve as spokespeople for MyCom and supports efforts to secure new partners and initiative resources. The Executive Committee relies on recommendations of the Public/Private Partnership and the MyCom Intermediary.   The MyCom Executive Committee is made up of members of the Public/Private Partnership. These members are senior representatives of public and private institutions that have pledged significant, on-going support to MyCom. Initial members include senior representatives from The Cleveland Foundation, Cuyahoga County, and Cleveland’s Office of the Mayor. This group is staffed by the MyCom Intermediary.  

     

  3. “FRIENDS” OF THE MyCom
    The Friends of MyCom are important stakeholders that have contributed in some way to the initiative, but are not able to be a regular member of the Public/Private Partnership. They receive quarterly reports from the MyCom Intermediary and meet twice a year to review progress and future directions of the Initiative. There are two Friends of the MyCom groups representing funders and members from the business community. These groups are supported by the MyCom Intermediary.   

     

  4. MyCom INTERMEDIARY The Initiative is managed by the MyCom Intermediary, the Cuyahoga County’s Family and Children First Council.  The MyCom Intermediary is responsible for the day-to-day management of the MyCom. They are guided by the MyCom work plans and future strategic and operational plans, as well as advise of the Public/Private Partnership. The Intermediary will also:
    • Manage the Implementation Team (see below) and all MyCom contractors or grantees;
    • Provide staffing support to the Public Private Partnership and Friends Groups (described above);
    • Provide grants management for the MyCom, including the development of required reports and new grant proposals and;
    • And work to engage existing and new stakeholders.    

     

  5. PROJECT LEAD AGENCIES: 
    The Project Lead Agencies are contracted to provide management and leadership of the MyCom strategies. As contractors, they serve on the Implementation Team. They are managed by and report to the MyCom Intermediary. These Lead Agencies include:

     

  6. INITIATIVE SUPPORTS:
    Initiative Supports are contractors hired to support functions of MyCom, such as evaluation. The Initiative Supports are managed by and report to the MyCom Intermediary. Initiative supports include:
    • Evaluation Advisor;
    • MyCom Evaluator;
    • Data Collection/Analysis Manager; and
    • MyCom Communications Manager.    

     

  7. MyCom IMPLEMENTATION TEAM:
    The Intermediary will manage all MyCom Lead Agencies and other contractors per their related contracted deliverables. This will be accomplished through individual meetings and by convening all contractors as part of a larger Implementation Team. This will ensure that all parties are sharing information and working in concert with one another toward accomplishing the goals of the larger initiative. The Implementation will include the Lead Agencies for MyCom Strategies and those offering Initiative Supports    

     

  8. MyCom NEIGHBORHOOD MOBILIZATION TEAMS: Each selected MyCom neighborhood has a Neighborhood Mobilization Team, with members including residents, youth, local businesses, service organizations, schools and other community leaders. These teams will lead an assessment of the strengths and needs of their neighborhoods, mobilize residents and leaders, and lead efforts to promote improved coordination of existing resources, and attracting additional resources to the neighborhoods. A Neighborhood Lead Agency in each neighborhood is contracted to provide staff support and guidance to the Neighborhood Mobilization Team. Support and oversight of the Neighborhood Mobilization Teams and their Neighborhood Lead Agencies is provided by the MyCom Lead Agency for Neighborhood Engagement.

     

  9. CLEVELAND METROPOLITAN SCHOOL DISTRICT: A total of 31 schools are a part of both MyCom neighborhoods and the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (click for complete list of schools by neighborhood). MyCom and CMSD are working together to enhance opportunities for children and youth attending those schools, by identifying needs within the school and in the surrounding streets, and maximizing positive opportunities for youth. The goal is to create a seamless, cohesive approach by the MyCom network and schools to build and sustain positive youth and neighborhood development.
